Current projects and clients:
MowProducts.com – provider of mower parts. I have been hired to do some back end work on their site, and provide documentation and training so they can update their site.
Lake Wildwood – a gated community in northwest Macon with a website in need of revamping. I am using WordpressMU to create a site with multiple authors, and providing training. As of July, 2008 the site is still in development. I have created a couple of videos to introduce the new site to residents – you can view it on YouTube here.
GovAccessMusic.com – a music library targeted towards Government-access and Public-access cable TV channels. This is a database-drven site using the excellent Maian scripts and MySQL. The site includes a blog (blog.govaccessmusic.com), a podcast, and even a vodcast (i.e. video podcast) that is syndicated using TubeMogul to several video sharing sites.
Young America Music School – a full-service music school that offers lessons in just about every instrument imaginable. Special features of this site include the random pictures of the store that change every time a page is loaded and the archive of pictures and movies of past recitals. We are working on expanding the site to include a blog that the owner can easily update (focus on the word “easily!).
DaleWashburn.com – the repurposed site of Dale Washburn, focusing on his real estate training and speechmaking trade.
MGIRE.com – the Middle Georgia Institute of Real Estate. Site redesigned and focused, including significan SEO work (search engine optimization) that will take some time to implement. A special feature is the random quotes from past students.
WashburnLand.com – a database driven site created using Open Realty. Tons of land for sale in Georgia. The site includes some beautiful photography that makes me want to go tromp in some woods somewhere – check it out!
Dale Washburn and Associates – Middle Georgia real estate company
Geotechnical Consultants – an engineering firm providing geotechnical engineering, environmental services, construction testing, and drilling services throughout the Southeast. The site includes an area for clients to upload and download materials and documents.
MaconCarpet.biz – a small static site for Macon Carpet on Forsyth Road in Macon. MaconCarpet actually became a client to take advantage of my new hosting options, including some high-powered spam filtering. See details here, on the new products page.
EducateForRealEstate.com – website dedicated to providing courses for prospective and current real estate agents. Offers in-class as well as online real estate courses.
tom&co – website for the band at Vineville North in Macon, who have 2 albums to their credit. Includes some basic ecommerce features (links to their CDBaby site, and includes code that allows viewers to purchase tracks via the band’s Snocap music store.
Past Projects:
Dale Washburn for State House – The campaign site for Dale’s run for the Georgia State House district 137 seat in 2006. (The site has since been repurposed.)
Vineville North Baptist – although not the original designer, the MaconMacGuy was responsible for updating the site. He also reorganized the site structure to make it easier to navigate, and he performed some serious search engine optimization. Tom also created and edited the church’s podcast, including all of the XML setup, from inception through spring of 2006, and was admin for the message board until spring 2006.
art2artconnections – a Macon-based art history resource, providing art-related tours in Italy and art-related educational materials.
